Testing rules There are two kinds of tests: formal tests with exact number of questions and adaptive tests. Adaptive tests are intended to check whether candidate’s answers to the questions are correct or wrong. Depending on the number of correct and wrong answers, the number of questions may change from 15 to 30. The examination time may be changed accordingly. More than 90% of tests are formal. The number of questions in different tests is from 45 to 150, but it is known beforehand. Accordingly, the examination time is strictly limited; tests can last from 45 minutes up to 3 hours. In formal tests, it is possible to answer questions randomly; therefore, you may first look through all the questions and answer the simplest ones, and then concentrate on more difficult questions without making haste. Each question has from 2 to 5 answering options. Usually only one correct answer is to be chosen. Still, some questions require several correct answers. Also there are tests with tasks that require doing a sequence of practical steps, which imitate work with a real product, but this kind of tasks occurs rarely.
