Lack of IT-Specialists: the Nationwide Problem

Ukrainian IT-market is experiencing a constant shortage of well-educated specialists. IDC forecasts that the next year Ukrainian market will lack 30 000 specialists. The educational establishments are working hard, but today’s market is showing a rapid growth tendency, and existing universities are not able to satisfy its needs. The representatives of biggest Ukrainian companies state that this problem restrains market development more than any other factor. This in turn leads to a slowdown of the Ukrainian economy growth as a whole. The situation might change if existing institutes and universities, authorized learning centers and manufacturing companies develop special educational programs.

Cisco and Knowledge Center jointly developed a program aimed to make the process of specialists’ selection, education and employment more effective and easy.

About the Program

The main goal of the program is to ensure the career growth of students by giving them training based on modern Cisco technologies in Knowledge Center. Also the program gives students certifications, which will help them to find job in the best domestic IT-companies.

Students participating in the program will get the chance to take part in activities organized by Knowledge Center and Cisco Company, to have access to Knowledge Center equipment and to learn on special terms. In addition, they will use Knowledge Center online forum to contact with network professionals and to share experience.
